Details:
Patrick Macnamara charged with stealing a goose. Mr. Riley states that he has lost two geese lately at different times. The Chief Constable states that a few evenings since Macnamara was found at his lodgings with an iron pot on the fire and on being asked what he was cooking he replied Potatoes. On the pot being examined, goose was found under the potatoes which Macnamara denied any knowledge of and ran out of the house, but was pursued and taken. Sentenced to 50 lashes and sent to the jail gang for one month
